What a wonderful Wednesday it is today!

Not just because i woke up from my lay
And have not lost the way, with which to say
Thank you to Pallavi, for making my day.

But also because she went out of her way
Not to nominate any other blogger
For the warm Sunshine Blogger Award,
But instead shone its light, on me
For only the second time in my short career.


When i began my blogging journey
I had no idea the amazing people
Out here in the blogosphere
Showing no fear
In wielding words like swords
Would even read my words.

So imagine my delight
When this skillful writer shone her light
Upon my seedling blog here at The Poets Peace to help it grow.

I have only been following her blog
For about a month now
And yet i already find myself being wowed
By the sensational stories she tells.

11 Questions Asked of Me:

1. What/who inspires you on a daily basis?

What a beautiful question this is.

As a human being i am inspired by the many people that practice to perfect their craft, because i write poetry and i seek to capture those picture perfect moments within the words i use to compose my pensive poems.

As a poet, i am inspired by the beauty of life and how it plays out like a play where the protagonist has some say in the way he chooses to make use of all the tools given to him by the universe that birthed him.

All these sources of inspiration are what motivate me to keep going even when the times get tough because i know the pressure will turn me into a diamond in the rough.

• Did blogging seek you or you sought this art?

The art of blogging is one that i did not find, because it chose to strut into my heart like a Casanova courting cuteys i was left defenseless to her charms.

I had been writing for round about three years now, usually just some short poetry for the gram. When one day at a cafe, whilst wording my next post i came across the link of a friends WordPress blog and i liked it so chose to start my own and its been history since then.

• What is the best advise you have received and from whom?

The best advice I’ve ever received came in the form of a wise book written by the hand of Eckhart Tolle and it said that ” All you really need to do is accept this moment fully. You are then at ease in the here and now and at ease with yourself. “

• Whats your comfort food?

When feeling uncomfortable or even when i’m not, i like to console myself in iced cream that comes in cones.

• If you could time travel, which year would you visit? and why?

If i could travel back in time, it would take me an eternity just trying to decide which year to go back to in order to make sure that we do not ever shed a tear or live in fear.

If i could time travel, i would much rather choose to travel into the far flung future in order to make sure that we did not lure our demise.

• Which is your favorite book and why?

The Way of Kings by the brilliant Brandon Sanderson is the best book by far among-st the ones I’ve read because it is in a genre i consider to be my favorite.

I was completely left in awe by the fantastical world of Roshar as well as the interesting magic system the practitioners practiced.

But, what most really struck a chord with me was the Honorable values possessed by the protagonists in the story.

• Has anyone pleasantly surprised you in the recent past and how?

I have a friend.

Whom when things weren’t going too well for me and i had a falling out with my family and had nowhere to go for a place to grow, took me in so i would know the kindness with which to show others when they are low on whatever it is i can provide.

This was a pleasant surprise to me as i did not expect it from people in a world were we laugh at the misfortune of others and make money from their melancholy.

• What’s one thing you cant stand?

Can’t stand not having legs that are able to walk.

Which is why i admire those that still are inspired to go on and follow the footsteps of their forefathers, who did not let their brothers and sisters stand alone in times of fighting fires.

• What do you think of our world today?

What i think of our world today, is that we have lost the way we used to walk to find our morals and our values as we no longer seem to see the value in truth and action that is right.

But this is just what i think.

I still know deep down in my heart that we have the compass to find our way again, all we need is to get rid of the greed which makes us bleed our life out for strife.

• If you had a superpower (you might already have one), what would it be?

Indeed i think i do already have a superpower.

I discovered it in the year when i did not go to college because finding funding was not paying off.

I am able to read books by brilliant authors in no time.

Because of this i have lived a thousand lives and more in the bodies of characters that exist in fictional worlds.
