Like a person lying in bed

Strong lives are motivated by dynamic purposes.

Kenneth Hildebrand

Thoughts of you were tossing and turning in my head
like a person lying in bed
making themselves comfortable in my mind.

I tried, but failed to put them to sleep
for they were too deep in a state of restlessness
thinking about the nightmare of losing you.

The best I could do was blanket them
with the knowledge that all this was but a bad dream.
That one day I will wake up
and you’ll be right here, next to me
where you are supposed to be.

  1. I relate to this but i don’t know if we are on the same line, well I almost hate longing for someone bcs it keeps me waiting and stressing out and bcs of that my thoughts are dominated by only thoughts of them and nothing else~ 😭

    1. I’m always glad if you can relate. I think we’re definitely on the same line. I too dislike it when my thoughts are dominated by memories of someone or something I can’t have. Hopefully, we’ll find people worthy to be on our minds constantly
