Culpable For My Own Demise

If you always do what interests you, at least one person is pleased.

Katharine Hepburn

Today, I take the time out to apologize to myself. I realize now that I was culpable for creating my own downfall. Liable to looking at life through the lens of negativity, it’s not a wonder suffering became my reality. I see now that my thinking kept me down. Never pondering nor questioning my thoughts I became a man with a brain he never uses, to gain wisdom will keep him from pain. My ignorance has cost me my innocence, but I’m glad it wasn’t in vain, because at least now I have the common sense to use my intelligence. ~ Laza
